25 International Festival of Basketry at Salt
A film about the origins, growth and flowering of this wonderful festival that always takes place the first weekend of October, at Salt, Girona, Spain.
In 2022, I was lucky enough to create the showpiece of the market, a giant shrimp basket. This shrimp basket is an enlargement of the baskets still used today by shrimp fishermen in Koksijde. They have been recognised as a Unesco World Heritage Site.

Hi, my name is Lieve Lieckens and I am an artisan basket weaver by profession.

I am specialised in custom made baskets, the creation of giants, and delivering services such as courses and presentations. Quality is guaranteed by the usage of the right materials and through craftsmanship. All my products are ecologic and sustainable.
